Course Description

A simple system to get you speaking and using Portuguese consistently for 21 days, about 20 minutes a day. Anyone can do it, as long as they're willing to take up the challenge!

Course Content

Week One: Getting to know you

In this first week, you'll be dealing with self-introduction in a more detailed way — you'll talk about yourself, your friends, your place, and your plans.

Day 01: What’s your name? Where are you from? Where do you live?
Day 02: What is your motivation to study Portuguese?
Day 03: Introduce your favorite places in your town
Day 04: Do you want to move out of the city or do you want to stay? Why?
Day 05: Can you introduce one of your best friends?

Week Two: You and the Language

We're drilling down on your relationship with languages — do you learn a lot of them, a few of them, what do you think about changing your native tongue?
Day 06: What languages do you speak? How did you learn them?
Day 07: How long have you been studying Portuguese? Describe your study routine.
Day 08: What languages would you like to speak? Why?
Day 09: Would you trade your native language for another language? Why?
Day 10: How about your town? Do people speak more than one language? Where? What do you think?

Week Three: You and the past

We're practicing the past during this week — from talking about what you used to do all the way to what's the most interesting thing you've done in the past. Day 11: Where did you live as a child? What did you use to do on a daily basis?
Day 12: What did you do last weekend?
Day 13: What was the most interesting thing you’ve ever done in your life?
Day 14: What would you change in your past if you could? Why? Or why not?
Day 15: What were the places that really impressed you? Why?

Week Four: You and the future

Day 16: What places would you like to know? Why?
Day 17: Hard question – what do you think you’ll be doing in one year’s time?
Day 18: Easy question – what new habits do you want to acquire?

Day 20: What are you going to do with your Portuguese after this challenge ends?
